The subject property exhibited widespread floor leveling concerns. Upon inspection of the crawlspace, it was discovered that the foundation lacked floor joists, which are crucial wooden supports directly attached to the subfloor, designed to bear the floor’s weight. Typically, girder beams, posts, and pier blocks are positioned directly beneath the floor joists. To rectify the situation and prevent further leveling issues, we implemented a solution involving the installation of additional wooden posts supported by concrete pads. These pads are securely embedded into the soil, extending at least 12 inches deep, and reinforced with steel rebar. The attached photographs illustrate the distinct difference between the original posts and pier blocks compared to the newly installed concrete pads.
