In this project, we installed earthquake retrofitting and two rows of support beams in the crawlspace. The earthquake retrofitting was completed with a city permit in accordance with the California standard plan for retrofitting. We also added support beams in the crawlspace to reinforce the floor that had sloped. The existing beams were short and did not extend from side to side (front footing to back footing). Some of the posts were replaced, but it was insufficient to bear the weight of the floor.
